5 reasons that prove how sleep is important for losing fat

Taking proper sleep is equally important as eating or doing exercise. If you’re not taking proper sleep then your brain gets energy from high calories, sugar, and food. Our appetite is controlled by two hormones, one is known as the hunger hormone (ghrelin), and the second is known as the fullness hormone (leptin). These two hormones control our cravings but deficiency of sleep makes their imbalance.

Hormones play a crucial part in our appetite and sleeping habits due to which they easily get affected with less sleep. Sleeping less will allow you to take high-calorie food even if you have taken a meal an hour before.

  • Considering sleeping in a dark room- When there’s light it becomes difficult for you to sleep along with increasing obesity chances.
  • Dont stress to much-It will trouble your sleep and will lead to gaining weight.
  • Sleep early-Everytime you sleep late, you take more calories.

2. Sleeping early will not make you crave midnight snacks

Our metabolism starts functioning if we ate late at night, rather it should be relaxing. The calories are stored as fat in your body which will not let you sleep comfortably. However, there’s no harm if you consider eating something with low calories.

What to do:

  • Eat your dinner two hours before going to bed.
  • Take a good food intake throughout the day to avoid cravings at night
  • If you feel hungry at night even after dinner, avoid eating sugary items. You can eat low fat yogurt or some carrots.

If you want to do morning exercise, then it is very important to take proper rest. The resting body develops the growth hormone which allows your muscles to grow in the body. While sleeping, your growth hormone gets activated. However, if you’re not taking proper sleep then it suppresses, which results in burning your fats at a less rate.
